Learn about the different braces types that exist and choose the best one for you

Even today, traditional braces are still in high demand, however, many patients choose to wear other models that favor them aesthetically while they are undergoing treatment. However, not everyone is comfortable with the metal version, as some like to experiment with the other possibilities that exist. And so that you know the range of braces types from which you can choose, today we will tell you the different models that exist in the market.

Braces types

Traditional braces: these are connected to the teeth using a wire and elastic straps that will be the patient’s favorite color. The method used in each visit to the dentist is that he/she adjusts the wires so that the teeth take the desired shape between adjustments.

They are usually the most popular among adolescents and adults between 21 and 25 years of age. Since they are removable, there is no need to worry about the usual bracket losses that most of these young patients commit.

Ceramic brackets: this option has become popular in recent years because it has the benefits of traditional brackets, but physically they look more discreet because their color is similar to the teeth, causing an optical effect that helps to simulate that they are almost invisible.

One of the points to take into account if you choose this option is that hygiene must be carried out more thoroughly, otherwise, negligence in carrying out this treatment will result in staining, something that no patient wants.

Invisalign: clear aligners are completely removable and are most commonly used by those who have simple problems to correct.

Our recommendation?

At an economic level and with excellent results, we advise you to consider the possibility of using traditional brackets. Are you very interested in aesthetics, but you can’t spend a lot of money? Then ceramic braces are a good choice. However, you can always ask your dentist about the variety of prices and times for your personal treatment.
